27 September 2026, the rules for how your company can communicate about sustainability will change. The Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition (ECGT) directive will prohibit you from using claims such as “environmentally friendly”, “energy efficient”, or “green” if they cannot be documented. You must also be able to document your claims about durability and repairability, and stop using sustainability marks or symbols that are unauthorised or internal.
Join this webinar that will help you to understand who needs to comply with the new rules, what is covered in them, and how you, as a Nordic company, can prepare for the changes!
Webinar details:
Date and time: Tuesday, 12 May, 14:00–15:00 CEST
Place: via Zoom (link will be sent by email to registered participants)
The primary goal of the ECGT is to protect consumers from unfair commercial practices like greenwashing and premature product failure. It seeks to ensure that consumers receive clear, trustworthy information regarding the environmental and social impacts of products.
In the webinar, you will get a good overview of the ECGT directive and understand who needs to be compliant with the new rules. We will also guide you through how companies can get ready for the ECGT in order to ensure their sustainability communications remain compliant and compelling!
During this webinar, we will answer the following questions:
What is the ECGT, and who needs to be compliant?
What do the new rules include?
What are the consequences of breaking the rules?
How can companies prepare for the ECGT?
This webinar is arranged by Corporate Good and MI Studio. You will hear from the Founder and CEO of Corporate Good, Maria Peltokangas, who is a B Corp specialist and a senior sustainability advisor. As well as from the Founder of MI Studio, Ina Tuomala, a senior sustainability communicator.
